Hilarious Hank! My hubby joined is cronies not long ago for a fishing trip to MN for pike to join one of his friends in MN. Three of them left from our place in N Idaho by pickup and had a great time. Although no pike, they did catch lots of bass, etc. and of course, much farting, drinking, belching, talking about women and who-knows-what.

But...let's just say that after the drive from MN back home to N Idaho, they needed to take a breather from each other. Good times and good memories, tho.

I get this! I know…I’m a woman 😝 I have seen Nate’s “shows”, and Jamie, well, anything in an adult beverage is “wild”! As far you Mr. Hank-happy to hear you smile. Life can be good - again. Btw…women don’t fart 🥳

Sounds like just the weekend you needed for a while. And yeah, guys will talk about everything under the sun once they get going. My Dad was like that, eager to share what he knew, eager to hear what other guys had to say. Just...do me a favor and don't diss the older Evinrude motors. My Dad had one that ran like a champ--and dated back to the KENNEDY administration.

It sounds like a really good Boy Scout camp out minus the beer! Love it.

Sounds like you had the perfect medicine for the blues. Yet another great story. I followed your link to freshwater drum and it reminded me of a story I read recently (NY Times?) about drum ribs. I've never had them, but are similar to pork ribs. A local, seasonal favorite on the upper East Coast.

Sounds just like the time we spend at my friends property down in Coshocton County. No phone service except "up on the hill". Tends to cleanse the soul for a bit. Keep up the cool writings.

Nice to hear positive words on sheepshead. I’ve got zero success

convincing my Lake Champlain friends that they’re worthy catch and cook. Glad you had a good time. Channel cats be tasty.

Absolutely nailed it.... From a camper in the Poconos, to sika in MD, to Quail and red tree rats in Maine.... these are the trips I wait for... sometimes years between...And WHY do we fart so much more on these trips.....

Incredible how much a weekend with the right group of people can alleviate heaviness on the soul!
